The purposes of LWVVC are to promote political responsibility through informed and active participation in government, to act on selected governmental issues, and to provide members the opportunity to be engaged in the League to the extent they desire.

Our goals:

  • Educate, motivate, and empower citizens for the upcoming elections.
  • Educate ourselves and our community about historic and current social injustices.
  • Promote collaboration and build positive relationships with diverse groups.
  • Educate and advocate in the areas of election integrity and issues of public interest.
  • Engage, empower, and involve members and work to build depth of leadership.

A very engaged audience gathered at the DeLand Library on March 12, 2024 to celebrate Women’s History Month. Members of our Speakers Bureau shared inspiring stories of the women selected to be honored: Rev.
