9.  Retired from Volusia County after 291/2 years with the last 16 years being with the Property Appraisers office.

10a.  I feel the 2 most important issues for Volusia County are to ensure that all the taxroll data is correct which will guarantee that taxpayers are only paying their fair share of tax.  I also feel that we need to establish written standards for the property appraiser employees to follow, to ensure that everyone is doing the job the same way.

10b.  The property appraisers position is an administrative postition not a policy making position therefore I do not feel that my positions on this subject should be considered.

11.  I do support Amendment 5 and it will effect all taxpayers instead of just people who are already receiving the benefits of homestead as the previous amendent only helped them. 

People will spend if they have money and they won't if they don't!  Everyones property taxes will be decreased and this money will be spent in ways that can be afforded.

12.  Highest & Best is best described as the legal & best use of the property taking into consideration the local and zoning laws.  If changing to current use thetaxable values will generally decrease which would produce less revenue assuming that the millage rate stayed the same.

13.  It has been 16 years since this office has been opposed.  It is Time to "Appraise the Appraiser".  With my experience coming up in the ranks of this office I feel I am very qualified to produce a correct tax roll.
